I have been very slowly knitting & designing a lace shawl w\/beads. Affectionally nick named the man-thong. I like complicated patterns, so the plan is, as I get bored of knitting one element of the pattern, I will add another. But I have no real plan for any of this. So I’m really just making it up as I go. Which is fine till I decide something really \u00a0isn’t working for me. Do I rip out till the starting point or make a mistake?
\nNo not me, I have a crochet hook.
\nOr my current problem, if I can’t decide between two different designs? Well why not try both? One on each side. Then I’ll go a few rounds and compare.
\nThen the loosing side will again suffer the crochet hook of correction.<\/p>\n

I know, there is a huuuuuuge difference.<\/p>\n

I tried to graph it out, but I was finding that unusually taxing so I’m just plowing ahead. Kind of regretting not putting beads on the leaves, but I’m going through them fast , maybe laying off was\u00a0a good thing.<\/p>\n

This leaf part has been re-done twice, ugg. I’ll wear out my crochet hook soon.
\nBut on a plus note I came up with these cute DNA shaped things on the side of the leaf, I now want to do a whole wrap out of these. With the beads. Well maybe… lets be honest, I’ll get bored with them too. (REALLY how does ANYONE do large sections of stocking-knit stitch?!) And the\u00a0repercussions of this, my gauge (what little of it I maintain) is terrible. It would make a seasoned knitter weep. I keep telling myself it’s lace no one will notice. It’ll block out later. And it’s just a test piece, once I have a pattern I’ll do the next much nicer. Really. But that means we won’t be starting anything new for a while…..
\nOkay maybe someone else can do the next one.

On another note: Dear thrift store scarf,<\/em>\"untied\" \"SAMSUNG\"I am about to frog you. I\u2019m sorry. You are kind of cute, and I even like your simple cable pattern, but we both know the reason I bought you was your yarn.<\/em> I have no idea what it is, but the colors remind me of noro, and you are just slightly fuzzy and quite soft.<\/em> And lets face it, you are far far to short to be one of my scarfs. At best you measure 3 feet, I can\u2019t lie to you each cold day and say maybe tomorrow I\u2019ll wear you. We both know it won\u2019t happen.<\/em> Last night I finally stopped putting it off, found and pulled out your tail end. It wasn\u2019t even woven in very well. I undid your slip knot and now all I have to do is pull. And you will no longer be a scarf.<\/em> But you will be a treasured ball of yarn, I might luv you too much to reknit. You might be to special to be one thing, and instead I will just pull you out now and then and imagine you as a hat or gloves. But I promise\u00a0<\/em>you when I do knit you up, you will still be gorgeous and I will still love you.With that said, I will be frogging you \u00a0this weekend.
