april & may challenges

I have been lax in meeting the craft/knitting challenges this last 2 months. And I’m not really in line to do next months either. Some of this over laps with my year of making, so sorry for any repeats.

Craft Challenges April Challenge: Spring
The name of this challenge says it all.  The weather is getting warmer in many parts of the world, and so for April’s challenge, participants are invited to work on projects that remind them of springtime. Anything you want to make can be submitted for this challenge, so long as it is, and/or relates to something that celebrates the new, warmer weather.

I failed this one, I submitted nothing.

Craft Challenges May Challenge: Nature
For May’s challenge, participants are invited to work on projects that remind them of nature.  You can interpret this challenge literally by creating something that somehow incorporates elements of the natural world into the design, or broadly, by creating something that reminds you of nature.  Anything you want to make can be submitted for this challenge, so long as it is, and/or relates to something that celebrates the natural world.

I have no plans for this one yet – May is half over too…

Cold Sheeping Challenges

I completely bailed on March, because sports.

April showers!
Use a skein (or skeins) that remind you of rainy spring days, in whatever way you choose.

I made a gray shawl that reminds me of our gray MN spring weather this year.
This was also the April/May knit-a-long for the redditt group.

May challenge
– to use a skein (or make a project!) that reminds you of flowers.
I’m not really sure about this one yet, I have a couple of yarns that are flowery, so if I knit anything out of them, it will count.

Not a very exciting round-up.
I honestly have been spending more time on various KAL’s as well as promising to do a test knit for another designer. More pics on these projects when I finally get around to reviewing my year of making.
