Hi there,
how’s it going? Good? Good. Okay.

So about me, I’m knitter (surprise!) and a parent who early in 2013 finished putting herself through school for web and graphic design degree’s. And now I don’t know where to find a job.
So in order to not loose everything I spent the last five years learning, I’m doing this blob. I started  tearing apart the css for the 2013 theme and playing with the PHP code and will continue working on it till I have it just the way I like. Or till I get  bored with it and then re-do it.
I am also working on some sites with my fiance so that I can keep up with my HTML5 skillz. Keep learning, develop some custom themes, write more Javascript, play with databases, learn more about plugins, whatever else you can do with PHP other than databases and generally play with code till my brain melts.

I also hope to work on my knitting more, turn some of my original stuff into patterns. I design off of graph paper usually, so I’m learning how to convert that to a written pattern. But I’ll have to learn sizing and how to pay attention to gauge too. I like the idea of being public about my projects, so someone will know if I’m not working on them.

A little extra about me is I’m a geek, not a gamer chick or a super smart nerd, but a geek. Like I read/watch sci-fi, have played D&D and I own action figures. I’m also not a judgey geek. I will not pick on you because you can’t name Luc’s co-pilot in Return of the Jedi (I knew this once but have forgotten). I will not laugh at you for not knowing which Crichton I’m referring too, the robot one or the human one with athe cute butt. I did bulk at my fiance not know the charm I was holding was the Tardis key, but he claimed to be an alpha nerd. I don’t like judgey geeks, nerds or judgey people for that matter. If I say something geek-ish and it’s wrong don’t be rude, just nicely point it out. I love learning new geeky things.
