2015 resolutions

So I suppose I could make a resolution about blogging about things in a more timely manner, but this is supposed to be fun so I won’t stress about this right now.

I still don’t have a “real” job, but instead of taking another retail job thats pays less than the cost of gas to get to it. Being under employed is not a step in the right direction. So I’ve been throwing myself full into my knitting. I’ve taken on a couple of orders, and have gotten paid mostly for the supplies. But it’s a start.
In 2015 I hope to open an Etsy store or something similar. Where I can start to make this hobby, if nothing else a part time job, that at least I love doing, has huge flexibility, and I only have to drive to the craft store.

So a couple more of my goals, both are related to my knitting.
#1 – I hope to release at least 2 new patterns, most likely for free.  Thats 365 days, 2 patterns. Completely doable right? I already have one designed, I just have to write out the pattern and shoot some decent photos.
#2 – I have an impressively ridiculously large sizable ginormous yarn stash.
and now that I’m spinning I’m spending a third of my crafting time  creating more yarn that I’ve obviously not been knitting with. So I really must do something about this.
So far this year I’ve already knit three hats, 3 cowls and fixed a mitten and really made no dent at all, But I’ve got like 350 days left right. Right?
one of many...

So I’ve put myself on a yarn buying freeze, (unless it’s super clearance or I NEED it for a paid project), and my goal is to empty one of the six 66 quart totes I currently have stuffed full of yarn. Ideally this will create space for all the yarn hanging out in baskets and boxes into either a tote or onto my shelves and off of my floor. If I could create some breathing room on my selves in the craft room that would be nice too, right now I have yarn shoved into the space on top of my books. And have to resort every time I bring anything new home.

So …do any of you out there need a new hat?
