Besides spending to much on reddit reading the thread on Terry Pratchett’s passing, I had a serious case of the cast-on’s this week. And all sorts of problems with my yarn/pattern pairings. One minute I loved how the project was coming.
Then I really really didn’t.
Sunday.
I picked up a lace project and did some row counting and was happy to realize the end is in sight. Well sort of, there is about 16 more rows, but each contain around 300 stitches and then I still need to figure out how to knit the edging.
And I’m pretty sure the kitten will do something to it when it’s almost done.
Monday.
I finished knitting the 2nd ear warmer and checked my graph for the cable part too.
Tuesday…
I picked out a couple of mystery KAL’s to finish the month. Dyed some yarn, updated some online things, and documented nones of it.
Wednesday.
I did some more work on my Scrap Shawl, but I realized I didn’t have enough to finish before the end of the month so it could qualify for the Quarter 1 bust-a-long, unless I use none scraps for it. Which I feel is kind of evading the point.
On another note, the shawl is looking cool, I keep over thinking it like I often do on projects.
Which is probably why I sometimes don’t finish things, I’m spending to time over thinking how the project is coming other than just FINISHING it!
I also did a couple of those rows on that lace project.
Thursday.
Wrote out the rough draft for the ear warmers!
Woot!
Friday.
I was going to finish clue 2 for this KAL and decided I didn’t like how it was coming out. I love knitting with the yarn though, no matter what color it is, so I will find another project with it.
I’m very proud I’m using this at all, it’s one of my souvenir yarns and sometimes I don’t seem to use these. Because I didn’t have plans for them when I got them.
Saturday.
I have 2 weeks left to finish a 2nd pair of Oddity mitts, so I decided to get on it.
I went outside to enjoy this early spring weather and cast on.
I’d finished the right mitt by 1am the next morning.
I’m much happier with these than my first five attempts, I’m using DK weight instead of fingering. Not sure if thats the thing making all the difference, but it’s getting done.
These were done with the yarn I had dyed earlier this week. And I was hoping I would have something green in time for Saint Patties day. I didn’t even over plan this!
