As I’m a day late anyway, lets make this quick.
Sunday.
More coral crochet.
Monday.
Collage from a neighbors Imbolc gathering.
The goal was to visualize my coming year.
Not sure I did super good, but I am in love with my madonna chicken.
Tuesday.
Dyeing more yarn with kool-aid, neon green, yes.
Wednesday.
These have been one of those projects.
The ones that just sit around, often so close to being done if you just sat down and finished it. That for some reason, that you just can’t put your thumb on, you just can’t bring yourself to finish. Well, I finally finished this thumb.
I want to thank my besty for being the nagging voice in my head that yells,
“You should finish those!”
Thursday.
I baked AND started my Oddity gloves for the Feb readdit KAL.
Friday.
Don’t knit anything hard when you are out of it.
Friday I was out of it. First I completely forgot the increases, so I altered my cables so I only had to frog a few rows, and started again. Then when I thought it was all good and while placing my stitches for the thumb on a stitch holder I realized I had done the increases for the right AND left gloves on the same glove.
Yep.
Saturday.
Sat was the best day EVER.
I went to a sale at the Textile Center, where there was yarn (that I couldn’t buy), roving (that I could) and bags a upon bags of fleeces all priced low enough, I couldn’t say no.
So I filled up the trunk of our Prius. In my defense I asked my fiancé to come, he had a chance to be there to control me. I take no blame for my actions.
So thats the good side, now I’m faced with the reality of cleaning dirt, twigs, plant mater and probably more poo than I care to think about out of pounds of sheep fiber.
And my basement smells like a barn, which is weird but I don’t entirely mind.
This is from an Iclandic Lamb, it’s turning out to be quite soft.
In the coming week I will probably be cleaning more poo out of fur, trying to finish my right hand Oddity and continuing with my Feb challenges.
And if you haven’t check out all the awesome things people share under #yearofmaking everyday on Instagram. Do that now. You should.
You are so awesome!!!
